Dr. Helga F. Pizio is a Top Doc!
We are very excited to announce that our very own Dr. Helga F. Pizio has been recognized as a 2016 Top Doc in three major publications!
Dr. Pizio was recently honored in Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s list of America’s Top Doctors®, one of the nation’s most prominent resources for individuals looking for high-quality doctors in a range of medical fields. All physicians who are recognized as Top Docs are nominated by their peers, who select them based on demonstrated excellence in virtually all aspects of care within their particular medical field. Nominees cannot pay to be included on the Top Doc list, and they are not allowed to nominate themselves. Once the nominations have been submitted, they are carefully reviewed by a physician-led research team. Each nominee is evaluated based on their number of nominations, current board certifications, training and educational merits, disciplinary histories, achievements, and other factors. Once the nominees have been meticulously vetted, they are chosen for inclusion on Castle Connolly’s annual list of Top Doctors. This is Dr. Pizio’s third recognition as a Castle Connolly Top Doc in a row, having earned the distinction in 2014 as well as 2015.

In addition, Dr. Pizio has also been named as a Top Doc Ophthalmologist in Vegas Seven Magazine! This is not the first time she has been singled out as a Top Doc in Vegas Seven, and we are thrilled that Dr. Pizio has been recognized yet again for her outstanding commitment to the best in eye and vision care for the people of Las Vegas and surrounding areas.
And finally, the designation of Top Doctor has also been given to Dr. Pizio in VEGAS INC magazine. Top Doctors were selected by way of a confidential survey of physicians who answered the question, “Who do you recommend?” in certain specialties. The nominees are checked against state medical board records to make sure they are in good standing. Doctors cannot pay to be nominated for this honor. Thousands of doctors and medical professionals in the Southern Nevada are surveyed, and only doctors who were nominated numerous times made the list.
